Challenging sites are commonplace in Door County.  The 'Cliff House' is a prime example of how a challenging site, overlaid with a clients  needs and wants, can result in a unique home design.  "...a neglected challenge, is a missed opportunity ." - David T. Greene

The Journey into the design of the 'Cliff House' began with a brief conversation revolving around a property survey that was presented to David Greene by the, soon-to-be, Clients.  Upon inspection, it was determined that there was little more than  a twenty-four foot deep section of buildable area to work a home design into.  After a moment of pause, they asked... "can a house be designed on such a narrow site?"
