Located within one of Door County's Historical Districts, 'Cedar Springs' is sited on the edge of a  fresh water spring that spills out of a nearby exposed stone bluff.  The Clients' desire was to maintain the integrity of both the landscape, and the existing log cabin that was built on site nearly one hundred years ago.  As a way of preserving the past, the original log structure, stone foundation and fireplace,  were deconstructed and repurposed in the final design.
